Welcome to Winchester Geriatric Services. Our aging population is growing rapidly. With this growth we see elders and their families struggling to understand the aging process and the medical and social issues that often arise and are difficult to understand. Winchester Hospital embraces its community elders and has championed the idea of creating this service to reach out to and advocate for elders by providing specialists in their care.
Our Mission: To provide excellent care to elders transitioning through skilled nursing facilities as well as through outpatient geriatric consultations.
Our Philosophy: Elders are a unique segment of our adult population and deserve unique attention. We advocate to promote safety, comfort, quality of life, independence and dignity. As specialists in Geriatric Medicine, we understand the differences between “aging” and “disease” and work to help patients and families through often difficult age-associated issues. We work with primary care providers as well as specialists and community support services to help with elder issues or concerns.
